Here’s some food for thought for today…
- What happens when all the people jumping on the backyard chicken trend realize that they don’t make very good pets and they’re actually a lot of work?
- Can you tell a person’s politics by the food they eat?
- Why it’s actually not a great idea to put a raw steak on a black eye.
- Jamie (Mr. Healthy Eating) Oliver has his name on a line of pasta sauces in the UK that just happen to have an astronomical amount of salt. Rightfully so, the media are taking him to task.
- Sure, families are actually sitting down to dinner together, but if they bring the phones, the ipods and the TV remote, is it really quality time?
- Nestlé hopes to sell you not just chocolate and baby formula, but health and wellness in the form of functional foods. I think my eyes just rolled right out of my head.
- Speaking of chocolate, a Godiva shop in Japan has chocolate dripping from the ceiling and running down the walls.
- Barter for a starter – some pubs in the UK are accepting homegrown produce, wild-caught game or foraged delicacies in exchange for pints or a meal.
